| You Mean Africa Has A Wine Country |
|
If you find yourself in South Africa, a day trip to Stellenbosch and Fraschhoek is a must. And taking a vacation in Africa simply must be put on your to do list of life. Some of the wineries actually date back to the 17th century and are still working today. There are so many wineries to choose from, you really can’t go wrong. One of my favorites is Constantia, this quiet little town sits on the slopes of Constantia Mountain, where the vines are cooled by cool sea breezes. So taking an Africa vacation and seeing these sites is simply a must! The estates are stunning and few, so touring all five of the wineries is an easy afternoon. Next in line is Franschoek, a small but impressive region that is surrounded by the Drakenstein mountains. Many of wine countries trendy a highly rated restaurants make their home in Franschoek, so much so, that it is considered to be the gourmet capital of the winelands. Another well known wine region is Stellenbosch which is just a short distance east of Cape Town, this is the country’s leading wine area, and is home to many of the country's leading estates. It has been said that it is the simplicity of such places that leaves the deepest impressions. The town itself is dominated by the University, and despite its relatively large size has quite a relaxed feel. Vineyards fringed by mountains make for some lovely views, and the wine route, which takes tourists through several different trails, is well marked out. All of these regions can be manageable in a day trip, but if you wish to stay longer, charming Inns are sprinkled throughout all regions. Additionally, if you don’t feel like carting cases of wine on the plane, the wineries will be more than happy to ship them home for you, but make sure you save a couple of bottles to enjoy when you return to your hotel. There’s nothing like a nice glass of wine on a cool African evening. And should you have a blog or a site about Africa and want to get more traffic to it to read your thoughts, here is an amazing way to get unlimited one way backlinks to that Arican content!
